Being disappointed with my first attempt to sketch out the man inflating the goat carcass. I went back and studied Joan Miro's art work. I noticed that he drew and painted in a more abstract style. Many of his subjects and objects had roots in geometric shapes. He also chose areas of his subjects to exaggerate with wild organic shapes. For this sketch, I kept true to the scene of the man inflating the goat carcass. I drew most of the subjects and object in geometric shapes. However, I exaggerated the man's arms with long winding geometric shapes. I like that the crow directing the viewer's eyes by pointing to the man's face. Also, I like how the repeated wave shape shows up in the goats body and with the water in the bucket.
The background was drawn in after finishing Sketch No. 3. I thought I needed something more then just overlapping shapes to give it more depth and sense of space.
